Nancy Baker On Location

With a keen focus on the changing character of nature she works passionately in the plein air tradition. Her interest in strong composition and light also influence her studio work and painting of still life.

She has painted and studied throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England. For several years she has taught art classes for children. Her art career began in the field of decorative painting, owning a business specializing in murals and trompe l’oeil in residential and commercial settings. She resides in Maine and is the mother of five daughters ranging in age from fifteen to twenty five.
